We are a dynamic school where students of all abilities achieve. We are committed to fostering a supportive and nurturing community where everyone can reach their full potential in a safe environment. We believe that who you become is just as important as what you achieve, and we take great pride in helping each student thrive and fulfil their potential in our caring, learning community.
We have a real belief that everyone can succeed and provide students with all the tools they require to do so. Our curriculum is designed to develop our 3 key drivers: Ambition, Character and Opportunity. These 3 drivers provide a framework to deliver excellent learning, personal conduct and development, and pride in being part of our community.
Ambition focuses on our curriculum and ensuring we provide the scaffolds for all children, regardless of starting point, to achieve their very best.
Character is used to drive our pastoral care, the TPP approach and our behaviour policy. It is not just about addressing ‘behaviour’ but developing each student to be the best version of themselves and learn from their mistakes.
Opportunity allows us to ensure strong personal development and enrichment for all students both in and outside of the classroom. This includes supporting young people to consider what doors can be opened for them once they have left.
Everything we undertake is to allow students at Lift New Rickstones to be safe, to be happy, to be the best they can be, and most importantly, to be proud to call this their school. Our responsibility is to ensure that we fulfil our aims and build on our achievements to enable current and future students from Lift New Rickstones to be well prepared for the challenges of life in the 21st century.
